Method
Prep the pan
- Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and spread the mini pretzel squares or rounds in a single layer.
- Arrange the pretzels so they don’t overlap, giving each one a clear surface for the white chocolate coating.
Melt and coat with white chocolate
- Melt the white chocolate melting wafers in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until completely smooth.
- Spoon or drizzle the white chocolate over each pretzel, covering the top but leaving the edges slightly visible for a salty crunch.
Add red and blue drizzle
- Melt the red candy melts in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until completely smooth.
- Melt the blue candy melts in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until completely smooth.
- Drizzle the red and blue melts over the white chocolate-coated pretzels using a spoon or piping bag, making thin streaks for the red-white-blue look.
- Immediately scatter the red, white, and blue star sprinkles over each piece while the chocolate is still wet so the stars adhere.
Set, break, and serve
- Let the pretzel bites sit at room temperature for 30 minutes until fully set, with the chocolate appearing matte and firm.
- If needed sooner, refrigerate for 10 minutes until fully set, then break apart and serve.
Notes
Pro tip: Keep the chocolate warm and stir well between microwave bursts so it stays glossy for clean drizzle lines. Store airtight in the refrigerator for up to 5 days; freeze is not recommended because sprinkles can dull after thawing. If you need a dairy-free option, use dairy-free white chocolate melting wafers (and verify your candy melts are dairy-free) for a similar coating and drizzle.
